Pool Safety Regulations and Resources

Pool and patio safety, pool safety, and in particular - child pool safety - are important topics that insure your outdoor experiences will be safe and enjoyable. A wealth of resources exists from consumer organizations and the Federal Government to help alert and educate you on the best ways to protect your family. We've gathered a few web resources on this page to help you plan a safer back yard and pool area environment. We hope they'll help. No doubt, many others exist as well. ASTM-1346-91 (American Society for Testing Materials)
  This is the most commonly used standard for pool safety.  Building inspectors, foster and adoption agencies, Social workers with   daycare agencies rely on this to pass their products.  The products offered by Aqua Net meet or exceed this standard for pool safety.
  

California Health and Safety Code 115922
  This is used in addition to the above standard and is commonly used by California agencies.  The requirements are similar to the ASTM   standard.  the products offered by Aqua Net meet or exceed these standards. 
 

US Consumer Product Safety Commission Pool Safety Guidelines

The CPSC is the government watchdog protecting consumers from faulty merchandise - but also functions as a valuable resource for home safety and protection.
                   
American Humane Assn - Pool Safety
The American Humane Association is a network of individuals and organizations devoted preventing cruelty, abuse, neglect, and exploitation of children and animals. They work to assure that their interests and well-being are fully, effectively, and humanely guaranteed by an aware and caring society.
